In the latest update since the mysterious disappearance of Katie Price’s new husband Lee Andrews, the reality star has revealed the final messages she says she received from him before he disappeared in Dubai.
Price broke her silence for a second time in a statement on May 18, where she said that Andrews, 43, was supposed to fly back to the UK with her for her planned appearance on Good Morning Britain, but he never boarded her flight.
Price said she received a series of WhatsApp messages from him last Wednesday morning. In the messages, Andrews allegedly wrote, “Arrested. I’ll be in touch. I’m fine.”
When Price asked where he was and why he was arrested, Andrews reportedly responded that he was forced into a van and driven to an undisclosed location.
One message reportedly said, “This is a black site,” while also urging her to contact the British Embassy and continue tracking her location.
In a YouTube video, Price said he later spoke briefly to Andrews on FaceTime and claimed he appeared with cable ties around his hands and a hood over his head before the call ended abruptly. She said that was the last she heard from him.
He confirmed that his disappearance had been reported to both Dubai authorities and the British Embassy. He further said, “We have reported him as a missing person in the British Embassy, in Dubai he has also been reported as a missing person, I don’t know what to say.”
Price has since denied claims online that the situation is a publicity stunt.
“I know stories are going to come out now because it’s a hot topic. But, at the end of the day, guys, I have feelings — and people disrespect that. It’s really not cool for me to go through all this,” she said in the video.
He added, “What everyone has to remember is that everyone is trying to take their anger out of everything and guessing and guessing, this is not a game. This is real life. This is a serious situation to me.”
“This is not a scam, this is something that is really happening, and there are real emotions involved here. I want to make it clear to everyone again. This is not a publicity stunt. This is real. And anyone who thinks I am a part of this is disgusting,” Price concluded in a video message.
Andrews’ mother, Trisha Andrews, also spoke publicly about the case and said the family still had no answers.
Trisha said, “I don’t know, it could have happened. I haven’t seen the video.” “I don’t know the laws there but I didn’t think they would use cables. Wouldn’t they use handcuffs?”
She added that although she believes Price is genuinely concerned, she also thinks the reality star shares too much about her personal life online.
“I think she’s exploitative in general, that’s what I meant,” Trisha clarified. “She’s always putting things on (social media), right?”
