If you have a Durobo Chrono e-reader, you might want to check out what the brand has been working on lately – Durobo recently announced that it has finally launched the Moody, a compact, wireless page-turning remote that aims to make your reading experience more comfortable, especially during extended reading sessions.
Weighing just 18 grams, the Moody Remote has a round, pebble-like silhouette, with a dual-button setup for controls. These buttons use Durobo’s signature “paw-pad” tactile feedback, which gives a soft, springy response when pressed. Durobo says this design allows users to turn pages, scroll, or control audio without changing their grip or reaching for the touchscreen.
Moody can connect to devices via Bluetooth 5.4, and features three control modes including a reading mode for one-handed page turning with a light touch click, a multimedia mode that controls playback and track skipping for audiobooks and music, and a browsing mode for incremental scrolling with articles and research notes.

The remote comes with a bit of customization via swappable, magnetic emoji button caps. The box includes six expressive hats including “Meh,” “Cheeky,” “Drowsy,” “Hype,” “Vibbin’,” and “Goofy” designs, though the differences are mostly for aesthetics. The device has a 90mAh battery that can last for several weeks on a single charge.
The Moody Remote is available directly from the Durobo website starting at $30.99.
