According to a usually reliable tipster over at X, Samsung has now started testing the upcoming One UI 9 on the Galaxy S26 FE. The first build has been identified as S741NKSU0AZE5, and the model number of the Korean S26 FE is now confirmed to be SM-S741N.
The fact that Samsung is testing One UI 9 on this device means it will launch with that version of the company’s skin. And this in turn means that the Galaxy S26 FE will be revealed no sooner than the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Flip8, which will mark the debut of One UI 9 when it is announced on July 22.

This, of course, isn’t surprising, given how the Galaxy S25 FE was unveiled in September last year, but it’s still nice to have such indirect confirmation.
According to Geekbench, which has been running since April, the S26 FE will be powered by the Exynos 2500 SoC, which is an upgrade from its predecessor, the Exynos 2400. The chip will be paired with 8GB of RAM, so there won’t be any increase.
