Yesterday, Xiaomi officially announced the launch date of the 17T and 17T Pro: May 28. Today, the company’s branch in India has started teasing the fact that the series will be available in that market as well.
This is interesting because it has been years since the T series Xiaomi devices were officially launched in India. But there will be at least one of these two. Xiaomi has not confirmed whether both the 17T and 17T Pro will be offered in the country, and there is speculation online that only the cheaper model will make the cut.

But of course it is just that – speculation. So we won’t take it too seriously right now. Xiaomi should make everything official next week, only then will we know. The company calls the 17T family its “biggest T-series upgrade yet,” which sounds pretty exciting.
Xiaomi, on the other hand, has not explained why the 17T and 17T Pro are launching eight months after their predecessors, when usually the gap is around a year. Maybe it will do this during the launch event? Stay tuned and we’ll let you know.
