Meta is on an iPhone app launch streak after introducing two new apps in May. The latest is an app dedicated to a key Facebook feature: Groups.
Forums is a new Facebook app that offers a ‘dedicated space for groups’
Meta’s new iPhone-only app is officially called “Forums, a Facebook App.”
Forums connects to the standalone Facebook app and Messenger on iOS. It also joins Meta’s new iPhone app Instants, launched by Instagram earlier this month.
The new Forums app is all about making Facebook Groups a standalone experience on iPhone.
According to the App Store listing, here are the details of the app:

Sign in with your Facebook account and your groups, profiles, and activity will carry over. You have the option to post with a nickname. Your groups still exist on Facebook and anything you share on the forum will appear in your groups on Facebook. It’s just a space built around them.

Your feed is built based on the conversations of groups. See what real people are saying, not just what’s trending, and easily pick back up where you left off.
Ask real people and get answers
Are you looking for opinions, advice or recommendations? Ask aggregates responses from all groups, so you can instantly get answers from people who were there and joined the conversation.
Made for people running groups
Admins still have access to all of their tools on Facebook, and they now also have an Admin Assistant on Forums to help them manage their groups, moderate content, and keep their communities healthy while maintaining control.
