TL;DR
- Spaceflow is a 3D scanner add-on for Soundcore’s Nebula X1 and X1 Pro projectors.
- Users can describe a scene to Spaceflow’s AI, and the system will generate animated, custom graphics in response.
- Nebula after this
Last year, Soundcore introduced two of its most powerful projectors to date: the triple-laser, 4K Nebula X1, and the full unit that is the Nebula X1 Pro, which comes equipped with its own wireless Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 audio system. These high-end models are already taking movie night to the next level for buyers who bring them home, and Soundcore is now extending their usefulness in an entirely new direction with the introduction of the Nebula Spaceflow.

The SpaceFlow is a compact dual-camera accessory that attaches to the Nebula X1 or X1 Pro. With both a time-of-flight sensor and a structured light emitter, it essentially functions like a Microsoft Kinect, and can scan its environment to develop a 3D model of its surroundings.

The hardware is part one – part two is a generative AI system that allows you to describe what you want to see on the surfaces scanned by Spaceflow. Maybe you want to transform a wall of your home into a towering, vine-covered forest cliff. Or maybe you’re looking to save some time over the holidays and want to project decorations throughout your home instead of physically hanging them. Spaceflow is smart enough to recognize obstacles like windows and build your scene around them. And then, once the imagery is ready, your Nebula X1 projector displays it with the appropriate perspective correction for that perfect 3D look.
There’s no need to manually measure any surfaces, nor any design talent of your own – just tell Spaceflow what you want, and it does all the heavy lifting. It can also generate animations, making your scene come alive with motion. The demo we’ve seen so far is honestly pretty impressive, and looks like the kind of thing you might see in a professional theatrical production.
