Grizz Chapman, best known for his role in the sitcom 30 rock, Died at the age of 52.
The actor’s representative Syeda A. Brown told tmz Griese breathed his last on Friday, leaving his wife and two children devastated.
Meanwhile, Grizz’s cousin, Harlem Globetrotter Donte “Hammer” Harrison, also confirmed the actor’s death on social media.
According to Harlem, the actor died in his sleep “after years of battling illness and dialysis.”
He wrote, “Life gave my cousin Grizz Chapman some heavy battles, but he fought them with strength and honor to the end.”
Harlem continued, “A lot of people knew him as the sitcom star of 30 Rock, but we knew the man behind the screen. A good heart, good energy and someone who made an impact in this life.”
Concluding the note, Grizz’s cousin said, “I’m grateful we had the time to reconnect 2 months before he passed away. Rest assured, cousin. Your name and legacy will live on forever.”
For those who don’t know, Gries became famous after starring in the NBC sitcom, 30 Rock.
He also appeared in many other films and shows including Good fight, Blue Bloods, And Blacklist.
