According to recent reports, Ivanka Trump was reportedly targeted in an Iran-backed assassination plot to avenge the killing of Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani in 2020.
Mohammed Bakr Dawood al-Saadi, 32, planned to kill the eldest daughter of the US President.
The Iraqi national had vowed to end Ms Trump’s life and obtained a blueprint of her home on the exclusive Indian Creek Island near Miami Beach.
The 32-year-old model for a prominent figure in Iraqi and Iranian terror circles posted on Instagram the location of Ms Trump’s $24 million palatial home, which she shares with her husband and three children, Arabella Rose, Theodore James and Joseph Frederick.
according to New York PostMr al-Saadi wrote in Arabic: “I tell the Americans to look at this picture and know that neither your palaces nor the secret service will protect you. We are currently in the phase of surveillance and analysis. I told you, our revenge is a matter of time.”
At the Department of Justice (DOJ), he was arrested in Türkiye and charged with 18 attacks and attempted attacks across Europe and the United States.
It has been noted that most of al-Saadi’s suspected targets were Jewish interests, and he is accused of involvement in the March shootings at the US Consulate in Toronto and an arson attack on the Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam.
Elizabeth Tsurkov, a senior fellow based in Washington, DC, highlighted a bold declaration in the New York Post that Mr. al-Saadi maintained close ties to Soleimani, looking up to the military commander after his father died.
It is pertinent to note that Mr Al-Saadi’s lawyers could not be reached for comment on this matter.
