Gilmore Girls Star Ariel Kebbel reflected on fans’ dislike of her character Lindsay.
More than two decades after the show first aired, Kebbell talked about the surprising change in fan opinion about his character.
talking with stylecasterKebbell admitted that she always understood why audiences initially disliked Lindsay, who dated Dean Forrester, played by Jared Padalecki, and later married him.
He said, “I love her so much. She brought me here… I mean, that was my first acting job in L.A.”
Adding, “And I also understood why the fans hated them in the beginning, so I never – I was cool with it all.”
For those unaware, Ariel Kebbell joined Gilmore Girls As Dean’s girlfriend in 2003. However, fans hoping to see Dean and Rory together were unhappy.
However, she said that the way it has now come “full circle” has been “the most pleasant surprise” as she was “at peace with the whole thing”.
Kebbell said, “I’m happy. I mean, the whole thing of justice for Lindsay, it warms my heart and makes me so happy because wherever Lindsay is, it makes me smile and wink at her. I’m like, see? People see you now, girl. Good for you.”
