Former Prince Andrew’s unofficial biographer has dropped a major bombshell about the former royal, who is said to have abused his power for more than 40 years.
The author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York talks about I paper.
His opening words did not shy away from pointing out the fact that in Mr Lowney’s own words he feels, “The Yorkists’ abuse of their royal position is nothing new,” as it “has been going on for 40 years and appears to have inspired, among others, the Sussexes.”
He also said, “A blind eye was turned in the hope that the news agenda would move forward – whether it was the 2010 case of Ferguson selling access to Andrew as a trade ambassador, or the 2022 High Court case that revealed a £1.3 million payment from a Turkish millionaire to Andrew, Ferguson and one of his daughters, which they refused to explain.”
However he discussed in detail about putting the last nail on the coffin. In his view “the Epstein release, combined with the couple’s brazen behavior and widespread calls about royal prerogative and accountability, forced King Charles to take action last October.”
But “nonetheless, I believe it is too little, too late,” he pointed out. The reason is that “this scandal should be used to ensure that Britain’s most protected institution has appropriate transparency and that the monarchy is fit for purpose in a 21st century democracy.”
After all, “the relationship between the Crown and the people depends on trust and respect, and this has been broken by York’s behaviour,” was what the author said before signing off in full.
