Perry shared, “I had a full calendar and I canceled six months of work to do it. I met Billie Joe and we talked for three hours… Like every artist, I think he got to a point where you feel like I have nothing to say and I need help – there’s a therapy aspect to producing, too.”

“And then they stopped calling me. I kept reaching out to find out what was going on. Nobody called. I lost six months of scheduled work. It was nonsense – it all happened because Billie Joe was a little guy and he got all this feedback from his fans and he didn’t like it,” she recalled.
