“Being a wedding photographer is like reading a really good book every weekend,” the photographer said. Jess BuckleyWhose work is above. “I have been invited into a blissful universe, and I am completely engulfed in it.” Below, Jess and four other photographers tell the stories behind some of the incredible shots…

“The couple had an intimate ceremony in the morning, followed by a reception in the backyard. I was standing in the house with the bride and her best friend (in a pink dress). Looking out the window, the bride said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding!’ And started running out the back door. The bride’s uncle (in pink shirt) arrived at the reception with his great friend, Winslow. This was the sweetest, funniest moment when a bride laughingly scolded her uncle for bringing a huge dirty dog to her wedding. Meanwhile, the dog drooled blissfully unaware.” — Jess Buckley

“Natalie and David were together for a long time, and ‘Finally!’ Felt happy. On behalf of the couple and everyone present.” — Sarah Bode-Clark

“Everyone was cheering after the couple’s first kiss, and then a gust of cool November breeze fluttered the veil, as if they were paid to be there. You could see the pure joy of being officially married. It’s always one of my favorite moments at a wedding.” — malin hillman

“While we were taking family photos, the groom asked to be alone with his grandmother. I think the moments in between hold the most meaning and beauty. The kiss on her cheeks and her laugh are so warm. And I love that he’s bent down to his grandmother’s level and they’re holding each other’s hands.” — Sarah Bode-Clark

“This photo was taken just outside the iconic doors of the Manhattan City Clerk’s office. Walking through these doors at City Hall is the equivalent of walking down the aisle at a big wedding. Many couples tell me that out of their entire wedding day, this is the moment they look forward to the most.” — Sylvie Roscoff

“The father of the bride was very stoic and calm and wore sunglasses most of the day. However, right after the ceremony, he took off his sunglasses and really let himself wallow in his emotions.” — malin hillman

“As soon as they kissed after saying ‘I do’, this kid across the aisle started crying. I think he was shocked by all the commotion!”-Diana Gale
