Lava launched Lava Shark 4G last March and followed it with Shark 5G in May. Today, the Indian handset maker announced the Lava Shark 2, which is a 5G smartphone and is powered by Unisoc T8200 SoC.
Lava Shark 2 has 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 16 with no ads and bloatware, and comes with the promise of one Android OS upgrade and security updates for two years.
The Lava Shark 2 is built around a 6.75″ 120Hz HD+ LCD that has a notch for a 5MP selfie camera. The primary camera on the back uses a 13MP sensor. Keeping the lights on for the Shark 2 is a 6,000 mAh battery with 18W charging support. However, the power adapter that comes with the smartphone only supports 10W charging.

Other highlights of the Lava Shark 2 include a 3.5mm headphone jack, IP64 rating, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Lava Shark 2 has two color options – Sonar Gold and Arya Blue. It is priced at Rs 11,999 and will be sold in India from June 10 via offline retailers. To provide better after sales support to the customers, Lava is offering the smartphone with its “Free Service @ Home”.
