Until now, most smartphone makers, including Apple and Samsung, were able to absorb the memory chip price shock through optimization and cost cuts elsewhere. However, this may not be possible for Samsung in the future.
According to a report from Greece, Samsung is planning to increase the prices of some of its phones in Europe from June. The Galaxy S series and the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are expected to see a price increase of around €100.

It’s unclear whether the price increase will only impact the base model, but it’s easy to assume that higher-end storage options will also see some kind of price bump.
It’s also safe to assume that Samsung won’t be the only one to pass on higher RAM prices to its consumers. Analysts are warning us about price increases in the second half of this year due to memory shortages, so buckle up.
