India’s teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has received unexpected praise from Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owners for his heroics in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026).
Vaibhav produced one of the most spectacular batting performances ever seen in IPL history as the teenage sensation completely destroyed the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling attack in the IPL 2026 Eliminator in Mullanpur. The 15-year-old batsman thrashed the bowlers all around the ground to lead Rajasthan Royals to a massive 47-run win over SRH in Qualifier 2.

This left-handed batsman looked invincible and fearless with the bat. Even Australia captain Pat Cummins was not spared as the teenager hit four huge sixes against the SRH skipper in a brutal attack that left the cricket world completely stunned.

Vaibhav missed out on a sensational century by just three runs as he smashed a breathtaking 97 off just 29 balls at an astonishing strike rate of 334.48. During the innings he hit 5 fours and an incredible 12 sixes.
The IPL 2026 season has now turned into a dream journey for the teenagers of Bihar. Vaibhav currently leads the race for the Orange Cap with 680 runs in just 15 matches and has become the first teenager in the world to score more than 600 runs in a single edition of the T20 competition. Rajasthan Royals batsmen have hit 55 fours and 65 sixes so far this season.

Ali Tareen left speechless after Vaibhav Suryavanshi breaks Chris Gayle’s six-hitting record
On the other hand, Tareen shared figures in an ESPN Cricinfo post showing that Vaibhav broke the record of most sixes in a single IPL season held by the legendary Chris Gayle in the 2022 season. He described the Rajasthan Royals opener as an unreal talent. The former Multan Sultans boss posted,

Now, all eyes will be on Vaibhav when he takes the field in another high-pressure game on May 29 as Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans face off against each other in Qualifier 2 at Mullanpur to decide the IPL 2026 date with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 31.
