In Google’s June 2026 system services release notesThe company said it has added the ability to import and export passwords and passkeys between Google Password Manager and third-party password managers. Android Authority Clues about this change were found in Google Password Manager last month. The feature is being released with Google Play Services version 26.21, which started rolling out on June 1.
Behind this new freedom is the credential exchange standard. If you don’t know, this technical framework ensures that your highly sensitive data can be transferred securely between platforms without relying on unencrypted CSV files.

This update combines user-facing changes with back-end improvements under the hood. App developers get new integrated tools to support Maps-related processes directly inside their apps, making access to location services easier and faster in third-party software.
Switching to the storefront, Google Play Store v51.7 offers a welcome new look. So if you’re on the Android Auto screen of your phone, Android TV, or your car, when you download or purchase an app, you’ll now get a clean, fresh design for the dialogues.
More importantly, Google is making it more difficult to miss a good deal. Sale prices, discount details and special offer dates are now clearer and more prominent in the Play Store.
Google is also making it easier to manage the apps you already care about. Pre-registration and auto-install for upcoming apps is now a seamless flow – meaning fewer taps between searching for a game and waiting for it to appear on your home screen on launch day. Heavy gambler or prize hunter? You can now receive notifications for monthly challenges and new Loyalty Max challenges on a handy pop-up banner.
Plus, you can view specific app content directly on the listing pages of your installed apps and quickly jump to the Play Collection to browse similar categories.
