Huawei launched the Pura earlier this month as its entry into the ultra-wide foldable smartphone sector.
Today we take a look at an iPhone Ultra dummy unit compared with the Huawei Pura X Max in the short video below.
As you can see, the form factor is largely the same, even though both devices have a very different camera island design. Still, it’s pretty clear that the Pura X Max will compete with the iPhone Ultra when it arrives.
According to recently leaked schematics, the iPhone Ultra measures 120.59 x 167.59 x 4.7 mm when unfolded, while the iPhone XS Max measures 120 x 166.5 x 5.2 mm. Very, very close in fact. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide reportedly measures 123.9 x 164.4 x 4.3 mm when unfolded, so it’s in the same ballpark, even if it’s a little less wide than the other two.
