The thing that has me most curious is this “personalized suggestions” rumor. What will it look like? But, more than that, how busy will Gemini be on my phone? It looks like AI In factReally wants to be involved in what’s going on. Obviously, I don’t have to allow this – neither should you. If this feature is actually implemented it’s all in the name of “being useful”. I think there’s some merit there.
In leveraging data in such apps (and possibly other Workspace-related apps), Proactive Assistance will use “your notifications and what’s on your screen,” according to the post. This is still very unclear, as the publication’s APK Dive only detected these mentions within the Gemini app’s code. It’s still unclear what proactive assistance will look like and what it will entail How This will get the job done. Additionally, the post says Google’s early code highlights its ability to make suggestions “at the right time.”
Perhaps this happens when an email arrives, as the code mentioned that notifications were part of it. There is a possibility that Gemini may actively snatch any important dates out there with the option to add them to your calendar app.
busy, busy gemini
This is where things get interesting because, as mentioned earlier, we already had rumors about Gemini Being more active with users. A report earlier this month claimed that Google is working on “Your Day,” a feature that initially sounds similar to Samsung’s Now Brief. It was alleged that “Your Day” would rely on Gemini’s personal intelligence with links to your connected apps for a “proactive feed” and cards. These can be the highlights and things to remember for the day ahead.

The more rumors come out about this new direction for Gemini, the more it seems like Google is being inspired by Samsung. I don’t think this is a bad thing. Now Briefs is quite useful, and can come in handy for users who want to make sure they are not missing anything. With personal intelligence and the latest upgrades, I’m sure Google will have a lot to work on. The only thing is do you want it?
Interestingly, 9to5 also cites this old leak, stating that Google has reportedly changed its name to “Daily Brief.” In terms of personal intelligence, the Gemini recently got an upgrade with the rollout of Google’s Nano Banana 2 support. Now, if AI is able to see your content stored in Photos, users can generate images based on those memories for a unique new creation. Its capabilities go beyond photos with support for your history, video history, and more.
