Do unbelievers care about Genesis? No, you have probably encountered this reality while talking to friends or neighbors. How will I know? Gallup poll shows most Americans disapprove of six-day construction.1 Chances are, you’ve met someone who thinks the reading from Genesis 1 belongs in church on Sunday, but not anywhere else. Certainly not in science class.
Over the years, we have worked hard to combat this reality. We have published books, web articles, videos, and other resources to enable believers to evangelize their unsaved friends and family. We have encouraged the lost: “Look, the history in Genesis is true; therefore, the gospel based on Genesis is true.” This is a good method.
Recently, a new door has opened to the unbelieving world. Surprisingly, the key to this has been America’s pre-European history.
Mystery
Mainstream science holds a mystery. There is no answer to what happened in America before Columbus. Oh, sure, mainstream scientists have archaeological sites and cultures with academic names attached to them. They have dates based on laboratory methods for when cultures arose and when they perished. But they struggle to connect Native American people to these sites at the time of European contact. They don’t have the same history for North America that they have for Europe.
I should correct myself: It’s not really a secret. You already know this to be true. I know it’s true. How? Pre-European history of the Americas is not taught in K-12 schools. I never learned it. If you’ve learned anything about it, you’ve learned about archaeological cultures. But you didn’t learn the history like Europe because mainstream science doesn’t have that history. This is an open secret.
secret project
I have been conducting genetic research based on Genesis for over 15 years. Surprisingly, genetics is not just about creation/evolution. It is also about the age of the Earth. This shows that it really does make a difference if you think the universe originated 6,000 years ago or 16 billion years ago. More importantly for our purposes, time constraints have a huge impact on a researcher’s ability to make real scientific discoveries.

My research has not been done in secret. The results have been published publicly in books and open-access journals. But the discoveries haven’t generated any press. Well, not in the beginning.
In 2020, I made some big discoveries with genetics about the pre-European history of the Americas.2 These discoveries were also echoed in Native American history. All these together are related to linguistics and archaeology. Final result? A history that mainstream science is not able to provide.
revelation, revolution
We are releasing the results of the project on YouTube. Many videos have gone viral.
What’s more, nonbelievers have contacted me about research. He has said things like “I don’t like the Biblical stuff in your research, but I think you’re on to something.”
In December of 2023, I presented my research on DNA and Indigenous history at the Lakota Treaty Council conference in Rapides City, SD. The Lakota have strongly maintained their indigenous worldview. I heard a lot of anti-Christian and anti-colonial talk at the conference. I was not invited to present Christian conference. Yet the Lakota contacted me – from someone who otherwise had no connection – because the research based on Genesis was confirming indigenous migration accounts. At least, that’s the only explanation I can think of. Without research, I think the door to this non-Christian The community remained tightly closed.
My research on the history of pre-European North America is the most recent of several projects I have undertaken. I have published on Darwin and the Origin of Species, where we made unprecedented discoveries on fundamental creation/evolution questions. I’ve also published on the genetics of human history – even finding Noah in our DNA! But the unbelievers did not contact me about those projects the way they are contacting me about this project.
Something has hit the nerve. This research has forced unbelievers to sit up and pay attention to Genesis in a way they had not been forced to pay attention before.

If you would like to read more about this history of revolutionizing non-Christian culture, you can find more information in my most recent book, They Had Names: Tracing the History of North American Indigenous Peoples.
