Anthropic has been pursuing OpenAI since the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022. Looks like he’s finally caught on.
The artificial intelligence startup, founded by former OpenAI executives five years ago, is in talks with investors to raise money at a valuation of $900 billion, according to a person familiar with the matter. No term sheet has been signed and talks are ongoing, the person said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the discussions are private.
An Anthropic spokesperson declined to comment. bloomberg were the first to report on the potential financing.
OpenAI was valued at $852 billion in its last funding round in late March.
Anthropic said earlier this month The popularity of its cloud code offering has led its business to reach $30 billion in annual revenue.
