Zoe Kravitz attacked “clingy” streaming platform Hulu for using her engagement with Harry Styles to promote her now-canceled series.
The actor got engaged to the singer after eight months of dating and was seen wearing a big diamond ring on his left hand.
Hulu appeared to capitalize on the major relationship news by sharing a post about Kravitz’s defunct show on its Instagram account, high fidelity And reminding viewers that it’s still available to stream.
The show, in which Kravitz played record owner Robin Brooks, was canceled by Hulu in 2020 after one series, which the actress branded as a “big mistake”.
However, this week, the streamer shared an Instagram photo of Kravitz from the series with a reference to her new fiancé’s album, Kiss all the time. Disco, sometimes.
“Robin Brooks certainly has Kiss all the time. disco, sometimes On his playlist. Now streaming: #HighFidelity,” the caption read.
Kravitz hit back in the comments: “This is sticky @hulu.”
The post appears to have been removed, but was shared on Reddit.
One Reddit user wrote: “I think it’s annoying to see a company that canceled your show after one season only to promote it years later for cheap social media engagement around your personal life.”
When the show was cancelled, Zoë Kravitz criticized Hulu and suggested that their other shows did not have diverse casts.
“This is good. At least Hulu has tons of other shows starring women of color we can watch. Oh wait,” she posted at the time.
