The wait for the release of the much awaited UFO Files is finally over. On Friday, the Trump administration released a batch of “never before seen” files and videos on the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP).
The move is designed as an effort to “maximum transparency” on the government’s knowledge of extraterrestrial life through a new program called PURSUE (Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters).
According to a White House statement, as reported Fox News, “”The latest UAP videos, photos, and original source documents from across the entire United States government are all in one place – no clearance required.”
“Whereas previous administrations sought to discredit or demoralize the American people, President Trump is focused on providing maximum transparency to the public, who can ultimately make up their own minds about the information contained in these files.”
The entire collection of images can be found under the ‘UFO’ category on the war.gov website.
Major Revelations
The disclosure of the Batch 1 files includes photographs and transcripts of Apollo 12 and Apollo 17. The transcripts also reveal the astronauts describing “jagged angular fragments” and glowing particles that appeared to “fall” outside their windows.
“Now we’ve got some very bright particles or fragments or something that are drifting off during our maneuver,” an operator told the command center.
Another operator said, “There’s a whole bunch of big windows down there at my window – absolutely bright. From Ron’s window it looks like it’s the Fourth of July.”
“Yes. Now you can see some of them in shape. They’re very jagged, angular pieces that are wobbly,” said the first operator.
The UFO files also highlight FBI photographs from New Year’s Eve 1999, showing UAPs in the same airspace as American aircraft.
The move to release the files comes after Trump publicly criticized former President Obama for allegedly disclosing classified information about aliens during a podcast interview.
leadership responses
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said, “The War Department is working closely with President Trump to bring unprecedented transparency…These files, hidden behind classification, have long fueled justified speculation – and now it’s time for the American people to see it for themselves.”
FBI Director Kash Patel described the unrestricted access as “historic” and historic. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman emphasized that NASA will follow the data to “uncover the mysteries of the universe.”
“At NASA, our job is to bring together the brightest minds and the most advanced scientific instruments, follow the data, and share what we learn. We will be candid about what we know to be true, what we have yet to understand, and all that remains to be discovered,” Isaacman said.
DNI Tulsi Gabbard confirmed that the Intelligence Community is conducting a “comprehensive” review of its holdings.
A large batch of UAP files is available at WAR.GOV/UFO. The White House confirmed that this is the “first of a series” of rolling declassifications intended for the public to “make up their own minds”.
