Now, Rizwan is now under severe pressure in Test cricket as the Pakistan selectors are now thinking of new options for the upcoming Test series. The main concern is his form with the bat. His scores in his last 12 Test innings are as follows: 19, 30, 10, 46, 29, 37, 24, 40, 19, 0, 1, and 6. During this period, the former Pakistan captain’s batting has looked erratic, especially against a fast and disciplined bowling attack. Even on good batting pitches at home, where they were expected to dominate, they have struggled to convert starts into big scores.
He played his last Test for Pakistan against South Africa in Rawalpindi and could only score 19 and 18; This also increased the pressure. Technical issues with Rizwan’s batting have also raised concerns as opposition teams have begun to target his weaknesses with the red ball more effectively.
