This is the shocking moment a politician drops a giant tarantula down the stairs in a desperate Home Alone-inspired attempt to evict a tenant.
Marisa Simonetti, 32, has been convicted of domestic assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after taking extreme measures to evict an Airbnb guest.
Horrific footage shows a Minnesota politician freeing the animal.
Simonetti can be seen turning his head at the top of the stairs.
She was then caught on camera shaking a giant live tarantula out of the cage.
Giant spider slides down the stairs as it plays music and bangs pots to try to force its Airbnb tenant to leave.

Several other small objects are thrown down the stairs following the spider.
Simonetti is running as an independent in the upcoming Senate election in Minnesota.
The tarantula incident took place in 2024, when 32-year-old Jackie Vasquez was “squatting” in her basement.
At the time, the politician was running as the Republican candidate for Hennepin County Commissioner – she lost that election.
Vasquez, an attorney, said she paid $1,500 to stay at Simonetti’s property on Airbnb.
But things went wrong shortly after she moved in.
Simonetti claimed that Vasquez’s behavior caused him to cancel the attorney’s reservation after only two weeks.
She said the tenant was yelling at her on the phone late at night and sending her long, multiple-paragraph messages.
Vasquez said she “desperately wanted” to leave, but could not because of the “hostile environment” created by her Airbnb landlady.
Simonetti told NBC that she made the dramatic decision to purchase the tarantula after she “didn’t get help from the police” in evicting Vasquez.
She said: “I’m not a physically violent person, and when I grew up I watched the movie Home Alone and I thought, you know, what a weird situation this is.
“If I’m scared or hurt, I try to make jokes.
“And I was so scared, I was like I didn’t know what to do, and so, yeah, I found the spider.”
Simonetti said that Vasquez had “barricaded” himself in the basement, claiming that the lawyer had slammed the door on his arm at one point.
The tenant claimed that the politician and a man broke the basement door, leaving her scared.
This led him to set recording on his laptop under the stairs, while she hid.
The laptop captured stunning footage of Simonetti throwing the spider down the stairs.
Speaking to KMSP at the time, Simonetti called himself “a foolish swan”, claiming his dramatic exit tactics were ridiculous.
She said: “I mean, there’s an element of humor in that movie, and in the end, what was I supposed to do?”
