Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
A newborn baby is a special treasure! messy? loud? But still, a special treasure. However, we know that something goes terribly wrong when a child does not develop and mature as he should. Arrest of physical development in a child is a cause for great concern. The Holy Spirit also reminds us that stunted growth in our spiritual lives should not be a cause for even greater concern (Hebrews 5:14; 6:1-3; 1 Corinthians 14:20). God doesn’t want us to remain immature! He wants us to continue growing and maturing in the righteous character, merciful kindness, and faithful loving-kindness of Jesus (Colossians 1:28-29). Our Father wants us to desire what is good and what builds others up, and we find ourselves growing to be more like Jesus. So, what are you going to do today to satisfy your spiritual hunger and grow in your likeness God And the Savior, Jesus Christ?

Mighty God, thank you for loving me and saving me. I really want to mature in your grace. Bless me today as I seek to adopt holy habits and fill myself spiritually with things that will help me grow. But I know that true growth comes only from You, dear Father, so I ask You to strengthen me with Your Spirit as I follow Your character, as demonstrated by Jesus in His life and ministry. I pray make me like Jesus. Amen.
