Did Hailey Bieber Just Declare Heeled Flip Flop Spring’s Biggest Shoe Trend?

As spring is in full effect and summer is just around the corner, knowing what shoes to wear on a daily basis can be as difficult as knowing whether to get a jacket or not. Too warm for shoes, too cold for barely-there sandals, it’s impossible to plan for “will it, won’t it” weather, but after checking the forecasts (and staying optimistic), we’ve finally brought our warm-weather shoes out of retirement. And so, it appears, enter the celebrities: Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner.

It’s not often that we can rely on American celebs to decide what to wear as they have the benefit of better weather, but both Hailey and Kendall’s evening looks last night were all about the simple spring/summer sandals we didn’t think of as partywear — flip flops. Yes, heeled thong sandals are officially cute enough (and cool enough) to wear after dark, so even if you can’t imagine adding sandals to your daytime look just yet, heeled flip flops are an attractive option to wear after dark.
