Former English captain Michael Vaughan wants Indian young player Vaibhav Suryavanshi to be included in the senior Indian men’s team soon. These comments came after the young player’s inning of 52 runs in 17 balls.
It has been a fantastic 12 months for the Rajasthan Royals superstar and Vaughan’s demands don’t seem unreasonable in any aspect of the game. Vaughan believes that he should be included in the squad for the upcoming England tour.
“When will he make his debut in Indian cricket? And I’m just watching, and I know we’re probably getting ahead of ourselves. It’s only the first innings of the IPL, but there’s a white-ball tour of England in a few months. And if I was in Indian cricket, I’d bring him on that tour,” Vaughan said on Cricbuzz.

The former England captain also said that the young player may not get an immediate opportunity to join the Indian team. He then went on to say that if he played a game or two, it would be great; However, if not, he will experience great pleasure.
“Not necessarily; he will be among the players who are in the team at the moment, but the one thing he needs is to get him into the Indian team and the kind of environment Indian cricket is in. Just bring him in, and if he plays a game or two, great, but get him on the tour. Is he allowed to go on tour at the age of 15?” Vaughn added.
“I’m giving him a little bit of experience with that Indian team. Not necessarily, like I said, coming straight into the team, but just keeping him around. He’s good enough to play with. I have no doubt about that,” he said.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi made the main contribution with his half-century in the 75-run opening partnership for Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. Vaughan showed that Suryavanshi completely outclassed the Indian star with the range of his shots.
“When you think about him batting with anyone at the other end that I have had over the years, he is one of the best players in terms of players across all formats. Yashasvi Jaiswal, I think he is an amazing player.
“And I’m not saying he made Jaiswal look mediocre tonight, but there was kind of a gap in fearlessness. You can see Jaiswal watching the ball, just trying to make the play. This kid is just looking to launch the ball into the stands. He just has remarkable freedom,” Vaughan said.
While Vaibhav Suryavanshi had a stormy innings with a strike rate of over 300, Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten on 38 off 36 balls and ensured the win for the Royals. After the end of the game, Suryavanshi revealed that it was Jasiwal who had asked him to hit sixes without any fear or dilemma.
He said, “Both innings were contradictory. You had Suryavanshi, who hit absolutely modern sixes. And I respect Jaiswal, because I don’t think he was able to see it as well as he could have. So he just didn’t give it away. His strike rate wasn’t great, but he had a bit of time in the middle.”
