“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I am in today,” Woods wrote on Tuesday, March 31.
“I am taking some time away to receive treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”
He added, “I am committed to taking the time needed to return to a healthier, stronger and more focused place personally and professionally.”
“I appreciate your understanding and support and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time,” Woods said.
For those who aren’t aware, Wood was taken into custody on March 27 after he was speeding down a road and collided with a truck, causing his Range Rover to overturn, as the Martin County Sheriff’s Office reported at the time.
After the accident, the golfer’s breathalyzer test showed a “triple zero”.
Budenciak claimed that Woods “appeared lethargic because he was drunk on the spot.”
However, the golfer was released the same day
