Police are reportedly responding to a shooting at Grand Central Station in New York City. Two people were taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to the FDNY. It is being told that this incident happened on the platform of Uptown number 4, 5 and 6 trains. There are also initial reports of a stabbing although this has not yet been confirmed.
Video taken by a witness showed a taped-off area inside the subway station and a large group of police and first responders. According to broadcaster Pix11, a stabbing also occurred, although this has not yet been confirmed by authorities. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) said at 9:47 a.m. local time that subway trains were bypassing Grand Central-42nd Street due to the NYPD investigation.
