Jennifer Lopez is remembering her ‘romcom era’ and has hinted at her return to the genre.
The 56-year-old actress took to her Instagram account on Friday, April 10, to express her excitement over her upcoming rom-com, ‘Office Romance’.
The new film also marks Lopez’s first starring role in a rom-com since 2022’s ‘Shotgun Wedding’ and ‘Marry Me.’
Reflecting on her “amazing memories” of her first era of rom-com ‘Made in Manhattan,’ Lopez revealed, “The incredible @BarryWetcher brought some never-before-seen BTS on the set of Made in Manhattan.”
Along with the heartfelt note, she also shared old pictures from the sets of ‘Made in Manhattan’ thanking the photographer.
Lopez added, “So many emotions! So many amazing memories!”
“And now with Office Romance, I’m back in my romcom era. It’s our happy era!!!” She gushed.
The film is set to be released on Netflix this summer, starring Brett Goldstein as Lopez’s onscreen boyfriend, and a cast including Amy Sedaris, Betty Gilpin, Edward James Olmos, and Tony Hale.
This comes after Lopes teased the upcoming film during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live in October
She told Andy Cohen, “It’s not the typical JLo rom-com that you’re used to, like sweet perfection.” “It’s a little cheesy. It feels like the jokes are short – think more like Knocked Up… (There’s) something about Mary,” he said, referencing the hit R-rated comedies.
