John Legend just revealed how his skills in music as well as his sixth sense led him to predict the semi-finalists The Voice: Battle of Champions.
The 47-year-old Grammy winner revealed in a roundtable interview that she is a semi-finalist sound They had the top three singers after the blind auditions.
“I just looked at my notes, and these three were my top three after the blinds, just so you know,” Legend said of KJ Willis, Sid Millevoi and Lucas West. “This is major.”
“That’s not always the case. Some people, they show me something different later in the competition,” he said, “but I could just tell from these three artists’ blind performances that they were all special, and it makes sense for them to be where they are right now.”
“Each of them are very talented artists,” Legend shared. “They are all so talented as singers, performers, and they bring something different to the competition. I couldn’t have picked three better representatives for Team Legend going into the top nine.”
Nine contestants are competing for a chance to win season 29 sound Team Legend’s Willis, Milevoi and West.
Alexia Jaye, Jared Shoemaker and Jeremy Keith of Team Adam and JW Griffin, Liv Ciara and Mikanelle Brown of Team Kelly.
As Team Legend prepares for the semi-finals, they all reflected on their main takeaways from this season.
For Milevoi, it’s about remembering to be yourself as he said, “You forget a lot of things during this competition, just because it’s such a high-stress situation, but you forget to be yourself.”
He further added, “It’s an individual thing and even the three of us, Lucas, KJ and I, are very different and that’s what makes it so special. So, remembering our individuality at the end of the day.”
John Legend said, “Being you is your superpower because no one else can be you. You are a unique blend of experiences. Your life story, your influences, it’s unique. That’s the advantage, and if you lean into it, that’s your superpower.”
He added, “We’re not trying to stamp out what makes you special.” “It’s your foundation and the soul of who you are. We want to enhance it, bring it to the fore and make the most of it.”
