There’s something about spring that makes me want to spend money. An iced matcha on the way to work, an Aperol spritz after work, an entirely new wardrobe from Zara – there’s a desire to refresh everything as soon as the sun appears again. So when the first round of warm weather arrived this week, creating an urgent desire to revamp my wardrobe, I contacted my chic French friend to see what she was buying from Zara. Not surprisingly, his editing did not disappoint.
What I’ve always loved about French style is its spontaneity. There’s no point in overthinking, just well-chosen pieces do the trick. A white blouse with subtle puff sleeves or tie details, straight leg denim that looks perfectly worn, leather ballet flats that add just enough polish. When it comes to dresses, it’s all about simple, strappy silhouettes – often maxi, always chic.
