Rohit Sharma injury: Had to exit early due to hamstring strain

Meanwhile, from RCB side, Virat Kohli also faced his fitness problem. The star batsman, known for his consistency and composure under pressure, looked a little out of rhythm during his innings. Despite scoring 50 off 38 balls, Kohli looked uncomfortable at times and was undergoing treatment on his left leg during the innings.
Commentator Simon Doull later confirmed that Kohli had suffered an ankle injury. As a precaution, RCB decided not to risk their star player in the second innings. Instead, Jacob Bethel took the field as his replacement, highlighting the team’s cautious approach towards Kohli’s fitness.
RCB won over MI by 18 runs
Despite the injuries, the match was full of action and exceptional performances. Thanks to an impressive batting performance, RCB posted a mammoth score of 240/4. Phil Salt played a stormy inning of 78 runs, while Kohli contributed consecutive half-centuries. Captain Rajat Patidar also played a key role, scoring 53 runs and ensuring that RCB maintained the momentum throughout the innings.

Chasing a tough target, MI fought hard but ultimately failed. Rohit Sharma’s absence during the crucial phase of the innings certainly affected their aim. However, Sherfane Rutherford’s late fireworks kept MI in the contest and gave fans a glimmer of hope. In the end, MI finished at 222/5, giving RCB a comfortable win by 18 runs.
After the match, Patidar gave an update on Kohli’s condition, which brought some relief to the fans. “I don’t know yet, but I think he’s, I think he’s OK right now,” RC Captain said.
On the other hand, the MI camp is maintaining silence regarding Rohit’s injury. The lack of clarity has added to the concern, especially considering Rohit’s importance to the team as a top-order batsman.
