Chennai Super Kings spinner Noor Ahmed made a brilliant comeback in Chepauk with a double strike to dismiss KKR skipper, Ajinkya Rahane and their most valuable player, Cameron Green.
When CSK stepped onto their home ground at MA Chidambaram Stadium, they saw nothing like this. After losing three consecutive matches, the Super Kings needed to improve in every way possible, and Sanju Samson and the bowlers led the way in that phase of the innings for Chennai Super Kings.
Finishing ninth in the IPL 2026 points table, they went through a tough phase and then reaped the rewards of their hard work. Noor also showed some return to his excellent form from last season.

CSK spinner Noor Ahmed emerged as one of their biggest players last season when CSK looked for both national and international players and picked up a number of players who can play for them for a long time.
Despite CSK finishing last in the points table, the Afghan spinner was the second highest wicket taker last season. However, this year was not memorable for him.
He was looking for some good form and he found it at the right time. In front of the home crowd, Noor gave a brilliant performance by taking the wicket of KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane. After dismissing Ajinkya Rahane, Noor posed with his eyes closed with opposite hands.
Although it doesn’t mean much for us to celebrate at the moment, it would definitely mean something as per Noor’s wish, which could be revealed after the match.
