TL;DR
- MagicX has decided to delay the release of the MagicX Two Dream Pro handheld.
- The company says it is waiting for RAM prices to drop to “more reasonable levels” to avoid price hikes.
- This news comes as several other handheld manufacturers have announced price increases for their products.
MagicX confirmed earlier this year that it was working on two new handhelds, the Two Dream Lite and Two Dream Pro. The company has already revealed key specifications, and if you’ve been waiting for the Pro model then here’s some news.
MagicX revealed discord There’s good and bad news for the Too Dream Pro device:
Currently, the market price of RAM is exceptionally high. Rather than rush the release and impose a higher price on the device, we have decided to wait until RAM prices drop to more reasonable levels. Our ultimate goal is to deliver To Dream at the best possible price to our amazing supporters, and we won’t compromise on that!

In other words, the company effectively had to choose between an earlier release at a higher price or a potentially lower priced but delayed release. Neither option is good, but I’m sure many enthusiasts will delay the release if there’s a good chance of a lower price. The manufacturer previously confirmed that the Too Dream Pro would be priced at “$1?5”. However, I feel that this price of less than $200 would not be justified considering the RAM crisis. It is also unclear whether this delayed release affects To Dream Light.
Still, both handhelds are looking like relatively capable releases for the price. MagicX previously confirmed that both devices will have 4.5-inch 1080p displays, Hall effect analog sticks and triggers, and mic/rumble/gyro support. The Lite model, priced under $100, has the older Helio G99 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage. The Pro variant goes further with a Dimensity 7300 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage.
