A girl has tragically died after being hit by a dislocated football goalpost, leaving her family and school community in shock.
Three-year-old Sofia Aparecida Iasiuk was playing under the metal frame while other children were hanging on to the equipment when it collapsed.

Paramedics, desperate to save the little girl, rushed to Noso Futuro, a private school in Prudentópolis, in the central region of Paraná, where they tried to revive her for an hour.

Forensic police officers and civil police started investigation in the school.
The school released a heartbreaking statement following Sophia’s death.
“with Heart “With grief, we say goodbye to our beautiful student Sophia,” it read.
“We will continue to pray to God to console the hearts of all those who have lost their beloved companions.
“You will always be remembered! Our deepest and most sincere condolences to all affected by this loss.”
Sophia’s family has not spoken publicly since her death.
Prudentopolis City Hall also spoke after the incident, saying that conditions at the school were completely optimal at the time of the tragedy.
“The municipality deeply regrets the untimely loss of young Sophia due to a fatal accident,” the statement concluded.
Another comment was issued by the state education department, calling for equipment to be properly secured to the ground.
“Sports equipment, such as football and handball goals, basketball backboards, volleyball posts and similar structures must be properly secured using systems appropriate for the type of base, such as anchor bolts or concrete bases,” the statement said.
“State-contracted equipment complies with ABNT standards, and caretakers or monitors are instructed to conduct regular visual inspections of the equipment.
“Maintenance is routinely performed to identify obvious signs of wear, corrosion, cracks, looseness, instability, or any other sign of structural compromise.”
Following Sofia’s tragic death, the Municipal Department of Sports and Recreation postponed the finals of the Paraná School Games.
The finals were to be played on Friday and the following Wednesday.
Sofia will be buried in the Sao Jose Chapel.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at the Sao Josaphat cemetery.
