Sandra Bullock reveals that she always puts her children as her first priority, even above her acting career.
The 61-year-old actress, who is a mother of two, revealed how she prioritizes her role as a mother with her busy work schedule.
Sandra, who recently completed work for her upcoming film practical magic 2Said at the CNBC Changemakers Summit in New York City that he made the film only when his children were “out of school”.
The doting mother added, “I’m not going to sacrifice my time with my children – my children.”
“They’ll be happy if I go,” she explained. “I wouldn’t do that. It’s true. And I don’t do my best work if my kids are struggling or if they need something and I can’t facilitate it.”
Expressing gratitude at the privilege of choosing to have her children over work, she said, “I’m raising my kids, not someone else’s. But in this business I have the luxury of doing that. A lot of people don’t have that.”
“And,” she continued, “I understand that sadness and that anger when you’re at work, saying, ‘I’m not where I need to be right now. I’m here performing and doing my job.’ But guess what? Women can do this. “We can do 15 things at a time and get it done.”
For those unaware, Sandra welcomed her son Louis in 2010 and daughter Layla in 2015 at the age of 40.
