Piers Morgan was never a fan of Meghan Markle, as multiple reports previously indicated, and he once again lost Meghan Markle’s fan following during her show, Uncensored.
Inviting historian Tessa Dunlop, she expressed her strong displeasure at the Sussexes being stripped of their titles, as she argued that the royal couple’s honor should not be taken away.
“First of all, you can’t dethrone Harry,” she said, getting a quick response from the host. “You just un-royalized Andrew?”
This provocative reply heated up the atmosphere, prompting Dunlap to make a sharper comeback.
“Two seconds. By the way, Pierce, it was really uncomfortable when you, Neanderthal-style, put Harry in the same bracket as Andrew.”
Dunlop said, “I was nervous here, and I’m sure – I know they’re your friends – were you nervous when he was putting Harry with Andrew? You can’t put them together… but actually, Pierce did.”
In response, Morgan acknowledged that Andrew’s scandals are far worse, saying, “Really, you can put them in this bracket, that is, I have always made it clear that Andrew’s crimes are far more serious than anything Harry and Meghan have committed. Never said anything different, and I won’t say that now.”
He added, “I think the way he lied about his relationship with Epstein, the damage he’s done, his refusal to give evidence under oath… it’s all on a different level.”
However, Morgan reiterates the idea that anyone in the royal family who causes harm to the monarchy will face punishment; The Harry and Markle case resulted in a loss of titles, he says.
“However, what it does have in common is that where any of your actions insult and disrespect the reputation of the monarchy or the institution of the Royal Family, there is actually an established mechanism with Andrew’s position to remove their titles.
Disagreeing with Morgan, Dunlap cornered the host by citing surveys and describing them as being driven by “the loudest voices.”
Instead, he praised the Sussexes for cutting ties with the royal family — a move he said moved him forward.
“(Meghan) said, ‘Call me Meg.’ She didn’t even ask to be introduced as the duchess,” Dunlop said.
It appeared to be, because Morgan apparently responded by saying, “Okay, let’s call her Meg. Let’s drop the Duchess, b******. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. No! I’m from Sussex, bullshit!”
