A Samsung executive hosted his first AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit this week to answer burning user questions and concerns.
This week, Samsung’s Anika Bizon, vice president of product and marketing for mobile experiences, held an AMA on this. UK subreddit (via Android Headlines). While some asked about the notable upgrades, which Bizon highlighted the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s privacy display and its 200MP cameras, some were more curious about the smaller camera. One user asked, “Why doesn’t Samsung make small phones anymore?” He joked that he didn’t want to carry a bag just for his phone.
Bizon responded, saying that his question constituted a “fair issue” and that it was not the first time he had received this question. While phones have gotten bigger (the S26 Ultra is 6.9 inches, for example). Galaxy AI, on the other hand, was exposed several times by users regarding how their data is handled, and how Samsung supports users who don’t care about it. As for your data, Bizon says Galaxy AI keeps it safe with KEEP, which “maintains digital walls between your apps so your data remains separated, verified, and protected.” Regarding users who don’t care about all the AI stuff, the Samsung executive says, “We always want the decision to be in our customers’ hands.”
Users can go into their phone’s Settings, either when they first get it or after, and disable anything they don’t want. Plus, Bizon says it’s a “completely legitimate way” to use your phone. Having all the Galaxy AI features won’t negatively impact your phone experience.

I know people who want to have a smaller phone, but still have more robust capabilities than an “Ultra” or “Pro”. Alternatively, I play games on my phone. I enjoy watching or scrolling through videos on the larger display because there’s more to see, and it feels a little more comfortable. I am curious If Samsung will always try to please the small display audience. I know there’s an S26, but that’s a 6.3 inch display, so not sure if it will matter.
