listening to father’s heart
Son, do you remember when my son Saul disobeyed my prophet Samuel? I had such wonderful plans for Saul. I chose him for the responsibility of becoming the first king of Israel. However, over time his insecurities lead him to make wrong choices. At first, they were small acts of defiance, but these actions led to more serious compromises. Finally, I gave my son a test. In response, he decided to give me only partial obedience. This became the reason for his downfall. I had to take away the favor I had done for his life and give it to David. I am not looking for sacrifice, my son. I want to follow my orders. My son always tried to please me. This is my wish for you too.
If anyone serves me, let him follow me; And where I will be, my slave will also be there. If anyone serves me, my Father will honor him. Jan 12:26
Samuel said, Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and peace offerings as much as he delights in obeying his words? Listen, obedience is better than sacrifice, and heeding is better than the fat of rams. I Samuel 15:22
