The US President announced talks in Islamabad despite accusing Iran of violating the ceasefire, as he warned Tehran of serious consequences.

United States President Donald Trump has announced that American negotiators will visit the Pakistani capital Islamabad on Monday for talks aimed at ending the US-Israel war over Iran.
In a post on social media on Sunday, Trump did not specify which officials the US would send to Islamabad for the second round of in-person talks with Iran. Last weekend’s talks, in which Vice President J.D. Vance led the US delegation, ended without an agreement.
In his post, Trump accused Iran of violating the two-week ceasefire ending on Wednesday by opening fire in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. The US President threatened to destroy civilian infrastructure in Iran if Iran does not accept the deal proposed by the US.
“We are offering a very fair and reasonable deal, and I hope they accept it, because if they don’t, the United States will shut down every single power plant and every single bridge in Iran,” Trump wrote.
