Jessica Chastain has finally shared an exciting update about her new series, Sawant.
talking to Diversity On Sunday, the 49-year-old actress assured her fans that the much-awaited eight-episode series will debut on Apple TV very soon.
“At first it was like, ‘I don’t know if we’re going to see it,’ but now I can say, ‘We’re going to see it,'” she told the outlet.
Meanwhile, an insider shared that Apple TV is planning to release the political thriller series in July after being postponed in September following the murder of Charlie Kirk.
“After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone ‘The Savant’. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a future date,” Apple TV said in a statement in September when it announced the postponement.
A day later, Jessica shared her thoughts on Instagram, saying that she disagreed with Apple’s decision.
She wrote, “I’ve never shied away from difficult topics, and I wish this show weren’t so relevant, but unfortunately it is.” “The Savant is about the heroes who work every day to stop violence before it happens, and it feels more important than ever to honor their courage.”
She added, “While I respect Apple’s decision to pause the release for now, I hope the show reaches audiences soon. Until then, I’m praying for everyone’s safety and strength, and I’ll let you know when ‘The Savant’ releases.”
