The creator, who runs Clavicular Online, said both of his channels were removed without warning, leaving followers confused and sparking debate about the platform’s rules. The sudden step did not just result in the videos being removed. He said it wiped out the growing digital footprint that was built around self-help content for young men.The timing was doubtful. Clavicular posted screenshots of the news to X, along with a message expressing both disappointment and disbelief. Why did YouTube ban Clavicular’s channels overnight?
In his post, Clavicular wrote, “Very sad news this morning. My YouTube channels @LiveWithCav and @CavLooksmax were terminated this morning without warning or explanation. These channels included livestream VODs and free courses I created to help empower young people to become the best versions of themselves. I and my team worked hard to ensure we strictly adhered to YouTube’s TOS, prohibiting all inappropriate language and sensitive topics. Delete. Can you please help me recover my accounts?”However, comments from fellow creator Atozzi offered a different perspective. He suggested that the expulsions may be linked to broader enforcement trends. “If anyone wants to know why Clavicular was banned: It’s because he promotes peptides for teenagers and young men. Even if he didn’t promote them directly on his YouTube (I’m not sure at the moment) his YouTube still works as a top funnel for his courses which promote them. YouTube is aggressively cracking down on channels that promote the use of illegal substances.The screenshots shared by Clavicular also included a live communication from the platform. The email said: “Hi Clave Mogger, we have reviewed your content and found serious or repeated violations of our Community Guidelines. For this reason, we have removed your channel from YouTube. For this reason we have removed your channel from YouTube.“YouTube has not yet given any statement on this matter. But this episode points towards increasing tension. As creators push the boundaries to grow their audiences, platforms tighten rules for risk management. Somewhere in between, entire channels can go dark in an instant.
