Mel B is remembering a moment in her early career that she now describes as “terrible”.
Spice Girls The star recently remembered when she was asked to weigh herself live on television while she was pregnant.
talking to page six At the Revive Collagen event, the 50-year-old reflected on an incident that happened when she was 23 and about to give birth to her eldest daughter, Phoenix.
“I mean, I remember when I was 23 years pregnant I did an interview, a live interview, and the host said, ‘Can I weigh you, how much do you weigh?’” she said.
“That would never be allowed in this day and age, you know?”
Despite the uncomfortable moment, Mel B said she ignored it at the time.
“I was like, ‘I don’t care… how much I weigh. There’s a baby growing inside of me.’ I’m not very precious, but that wouldn’t happen in this day and age,” she added.
The singer, who rose to global fame with the Spice Girls, also addressed the idea of reliving such moments in a documentary.
She claimed that she would continue to support it as long as it remained authentic, saying, “But I don’t have anything terrible or bad to say. I had an absolute blast.”
