WhatsApp’s messaging app has decided to introduce an exciting new feature for a better multitasking experience.
The worldwide popular messaging app platform is reportedly experimenting with new features for iOS users and Android, with the latest development being notification bubbles for Android.
The new feature from Meta-owned WhatsApp is specifically designed to enhance faster chat multitasking and streamline your messaging experience.
As spotted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s upcoming notification bubbles have been supported by Google since Android 10.
Additionally, users familiar with Facebook Messenger on Android will easily recognize this feature.
Whenever the latest messages come from an individual or group chat, a floating bubble appears on the screen, whether the user is on the home screen or using a third-party app.
Bubble features a group display image and contact photo with a small WhatsApp icon to let you know the source.
Once you click on the floating bubble, it takes you to a compact WhatsApp chat window, allowing users to reply and read messages without opening the instant-messaging app.
For example, users watching videos can respond to multiple chats without leaving the video app.
Notably, the availability of this notification feature has not yet been confirmed, as WhatsApp is currently experimenting with a new feature, with an initial release expected only to select beta testers before a wider launch.
