(www.investorideas.com Newswire) a popular platform for great investment ideas, including mining stocks, issues a news and trading alert for rare earth stocks for April 27.
Stocks in the sector are rising following last week’s $2.8 billion acquisition, along with a growing emphasis on developing secure, China-independent supply chains in response to strong demand and geopolitical factors.
USA Rare Earths, Inc. (NASDAQ:USAR) is trading at $23.06 +1.19 (+5.44%) on volume over 10 million shares. Last week USA Rare Earth, Inc. announced a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Serra Verde Group, owner of the Pela Ama rare earth mine and processing plant in Goiás, Brazil. The transaction consideration includes $300 million in cash and 126.849 million shares of newly issued USAR common stock, which, at USAR’s closing share price of $19.95 on Friday, April 17, 2026, represents an equity value of approximately $2.8 billion for Serra Verde. Subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, the acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026.
Aclara Resources Inc. (TSX: Jigsaw), focused on building a vertically integrated supply chain for rare earth alloys used in permanent magnets, joins the TSX’s list of top gainers today. The stock is currently trading at $5.05 +0.62 (+14.00%).
Aclara Resources announced in mid-April the filing and results of the Feasibility Study (“FS”) of the Carina Project (“Carina” or the “Project”), the Company’s lead asset based on mineral reserves.
The FS, titled “NI 43-101 Technical Report and Feasibility Study on the Carina Project, Goiás, Brazil”, with an effective date of March 20, 2026, was prepared by Hatch Consultoría M Projetos Ltd. in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 – Standard of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”). (“Hatch”) with contributions from L&M Geoscientias S.p.A., Promet 101 Consulting Pte. Ltd., Abelco Consulting S.p.A., LOM Consultoria em Mineração Ltd. (“LOMC”), ERM Consultants Canada Ltd., and Argus Media Ltd. (“Argus Media”).
The terms “Mineral Resources,” “Inferred Mineral Resources,” “Indicated Mineral Resources,” “Measured Mineral Resources,” “Mineral Reserves,” “Probable Mineral Reserves,” and “Proved Mineral Reserves” referred to in this news release have the meaning given in NI 43-101, by reference to the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy’s “Definition Standard for Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves” (2019).
The FS has been filed and can be found under the company’s profile on SEDAR+ (www.sedarplus.ca) and on Aclara’s website (www.aclara-re.com).
Hugh Broadhurst, COO of Aclara, commented:
“Completing the feasibility study just six months after our pre-feasibility study is a significant achievement, and I want to recognize the dedicated effort of our team and technical partners who have made this possible. The engineering detail we are presenting today is substantial – and it reflects the remarkable work that has been done on the Carina project from the very beginning.” We remain the only company in the world to report rare earth mineral reserves heavier than ionic clays in accordance with NI 43-101. We have demonstrated our metallurgical process through a continuously operated pilot plant. This FS is built on such a foundation with a level of rigor commensurate with the importance of the project. Our route to market through our 100% owned separation facility, which is planned to be built in Louisiana, United States, further de-risks the Carina Project and supports our strategy of selling reliable and traceable rare earths to high-end customers. This firmly establishes our initial supply chain entirely within the American continent. Our high purity products, sustainable process designs and integrated mine-to-magnet strategy are now based on the engineering of one of the world’s leading firms. We will continue to work to improve our technology, which we also plan to implement in the medium term in Brazil and other countries where we operate. The world needs a solid, independent and flexible supply of heavy rare earths – and Aclara is designed to provide exactly that.”
