Time flies! It’s been almost three years since my last intense experience SIA on 14 June 2023. At the time, the carrier was bullish in the post-pandemic situation, with SIA’s share price peaking $7.80 Just two days later. Fast forward to April 2026, the scenario has changed dramatically due to rising fuel prices due to the Iran war. While SIA is flying record passenger numbers, the SIA share price has faced volatility and a failure to reclaim 2023 highs. In this article, I will share why the SIA share price may be in trouble. It is well known that SIA has spent decades trying to enter the India market through its joint venture with Tata, Vistara since 2015. Following the acquisition of state-owned Air India by Tata in early 2022, SIA and Tata agreed to merge Vistara into Air India. This deal is a double-edged sword in my view.
