The Eufy SoloCam S340 runs on a removable solar panel included in the box. Only two hours of direct sunlight per day keeps it running continuously. However, it has a built-in battery that holds a charge for up to three months as a backup for cloudy days. No cord, no outlet needed.
The camera packs two lenses. It includes a 3K wide-angle lens for full-scene coverage and a 2K telephoto lens with 8x hybrid zoom for zoomed-in detail. It rotates a full 360° and tilts 70°, so you can cover the driveway, side passage, and front yard with a single mount. Motion triggers auto-tracking, and a built-in spotlight turns on at night for color footage instead of the usual black-and-white infrared. Two-way audio and a siren are also onboard.
Storage is local with 8GB, and there’s no monthly fee to access your clips. If you want more, the HomeBase S380 adds up to 16TB of local storage and unlocks BionicMind AI features like facial recognition and pet detection. It’s a separate purchase, but the S340 works fine without it. One thing to note: This is only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, so only 5GHz networks won’t work.
