VisionWave Holdings today announced the filing of a US provisional patent application covering the key intellectual property for its xCalibre™ visual intelligence platform.

The provisional patent application, titled “Systems and methods for converting camera streams into structured sensor intelligence for detection, verification, and response”, was filed in the United States Patent and Trademark Office under application number 64/048,141 with a filing date of April 24, 2026.

The filing describes a next-generation AI architecture designed to transform traditional camera streams into structured, machine-actionable sensor intelligence. Instead of treating cameras simply as passive video recorders or traditional image sources, xCalibre™ is designed to enable visible, thermal, infrared, stereoscopic, low-light, body-worn, vehicle-mounted, stationary, mobile, airborne and robotic cameras to be used as intelligent sensor input, enabling classification, tracking, incident analysis, threat scoring, evidence packages and generating operational alerts.

At the heart of the invention is a mathematical, intelligence-based technology. This approach is designed to reduce latency, reduce redundant processing, improve edge deployment efficiency, and support near real-time operations in security, defense, infrastructure, autonomous systems, and forensics applications.

Potential outputs may include object classes, detection hypotheses, drone alerts, vehicle incidents, abnormal behavior flags, person-of-interest signals, persistent tracks, threat scores, response recommendations, searchable metadata, and confidence-derived evidence.

VisionWave believes the filing strengthens its intellectual property position around AI-powered computer vision, edge intelligence and advanced sensing.
