On the final day of King Charles and Queen Camilla’s visit to the US, Their Majesties honored fallen heroes.
While visiting Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, the king and queen laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Buckingham Palace released a video clip of Charles and Camilla via the royal family’s official Instagram handle. The video shows the royal couple paying tribute to those killed at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Charles and Camilla also met service personnel from the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand through Canadian Cross.
Details of the visit shared in the caption read: “At Arlington National Cemetery, the King and Queen pay tribute to the fallen at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.”
“Spreading more than 600 acres, Arlington is home to two former U.S. presidents buried there, as well as more than 400,000 veterans and their family members. The cemetery also contains British Commonwealth graves.”
“While at the cemetery, Her Majesty also met service personnel from the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand awarded the Canadian Cross,” it concluded.
It came as King Charles and Queen Camilla completed a four-day visit to the United States, where they also visited New York City and Washington, DC.
